Thomas Fischer started his career as a lawyer at RMF, a multi-billion fund of hedge funds. In 2002 he started his own due diligence company aicons Ltd. In 2014 he started his own asset management company Swiss ALP Asset Management GmbH, which specialises in new alternative strategies, such as factoring, bridge lending or crypto currencies and private equity.
At the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland, he was lecturer for corporate finance for about 15 years. He is now lecturing leadership psychology.
Outcome
This module provides an overview of the alternative investment opportunities and shows how to select respective funds.
As an outcome, the participants will be able to

understand the different private equity strategies
understand the generic process of an investment due diligence, an operational due diligence and a legal due diligence
understand the particularities of a hedge fund due diligence
