Costantino Lanni, after completing studies in Switzerland and the USA (International Banker’s School, New York) in 1996 was the founding partner of the a Swiss asset management company Brunner Lanni & Partners (today Reuss Capital Inc.). For almost 20 years, he was a managing partner and has an extended experience in Wealth Management, Asset Allocation and Portfolio Management for private clients. Lanni has many years of lecturing experience at university levels.  He is also lecturer at the IfFP and served as international lecturer for the CFA and FRM preparation programs. Since 2014 he is Director of the Center for Financial Studies at the University of Applied Sciences Zurich (HWZ).
 
Outcome

This module provides an in-depth overview of the wealth management and asset management process and sets a framework for an effective implementation of client’s strategies in a global context.
 
Curriculum Content2 Days
 
Wealth planning: Client relationship and client profile: understand the client’s goals, risk tolerance and restrictions in an international context. Establish a consistent investment policy statement for the client.

Strategic asset allocation: The starting point for portfolio implementation. It indicates the appropriate asset mix to be held under long-term or ‘‘normal’’ conditions. It also suggests the investor’s long-term or ‘‘average’’ level of risk tolerance.

Portfolio management: Modern Portfolio Theory is at the heart of building optimal and robust portfolios. The understanding of expected return, risk and correlation is fundamental for the portfolio construction.

Investment selection: The execution includes additional decisions, like selecting appropriate investments within each asset class and managing the resulting portfolios.

Performance assessment: Measure, evaluate and appraise portfolio performance is a critical component in the Wealth Management process and a crucial step to toward achieving the client’s goal.
